Nina Campbell, the world-renowned interior designer, is known for her beautiful interiors, as well as for her collections of fabrics, wallpapers, accessories, carpets and home fragrance. Luxury, practicality and a sense of wit remain paramount in all of Nina's sought-after collections.

Biography

Nina Campbell is one of the world’s most respected and influential interior designers. Her list of clients and design inspirations are unparalleled and her wit, sense of excitement and personal style appeal to young and old alike. Her dramatic fabric and wallpaper collections and beautiful product ranges sit equally well in both contemporary and traditional interiors.

Design was always in Nina’s blood and as a young girl, she and her mother would spend hours re-arranging furniture and dressing rooms “needless to say, halfway through, we’d get exhausted and go to bed, leaving sofa’s and chairs halfway up the staircase”.

This enthusiasm and interest in design and interiors continued to flourish and at the age of nineteen she worked as assistant to John Fowler at prestigious Colefax and Fowler fabric and wallpaper designers. Shortly afterwards she set up her own decorating business where one of her first commissions was to decorate Cullen House in Banffshire, Scotland.

With an unmistakably elegant and rich colour palette, Nina’s work caught the eye of club owner Mark Birley who asked her to redecorate Annabel’s Club and the relationship was so successful they combined forces and went on to open a shop in Pimlico specialising in ‘unashamed luxury’. It was here that Nina launched her signature ‘hearts’ print on fabric and china.

Developing her business further, Nina opened a showroom and design studio on Walton Street in London’s Knightsbridge where she continued her fabric printing and branched out into other decorative areas. The interior design side of the business was extremely successful with notable projects including The Savoy Lobby (with David Linley) The Hotel Parc Victor Hugo Paris and The Campbell Apartment Bar at Grand Central Station, New York.

The Nina Campbell line continues to expand and she now launches two fabric, wallpaper and trimming collections a year distributed internationally by Osborne & Little, carpets through Wool Classics and home ranges include table linen, china and glass, home fragrance, gift wrap, cashmere blankets and travel accessories.

Nina Campbell’s enthusiasm remains unabated, she is the author of four books, has appeared on the BBC2 series ‘Home’ as authority on interior design and recent exciting projects include a collaboration with Britannia Cookers, a rug collection with Luke Irwin and her own branded furniture will be launched this autumn. On top of all this, she is a devoted mother of three.
