This project involved the complete refurbishment of an existing hotel that needed a great deal of care and attention. As this was a listed building it was important to maintain and sympathetically refurbish the historical details. Each bedroom was designed individually and a variety of different meeting places created, allowing guests the space to relax, socialise and dine in comfort. As well as the main house and existing out buildings 2 new additions were built to increase the capacity of the hotel and to create a comfortable guest experience in hand with a hotel that is functional to run.

The lateral conversion of two side by side apartments resulting in a much more spacious living area. In this apartment classic and contemporary looks were combined using crisp modern design and antiques while respecting the period detail or the building. The kitchen was almost untouched as there was no need to change it but other aspects were revolutionised and storage was tucked into every possible corner. A Contemporary staircase leads to an almost separate apartment upstairs as flexibility of living space was required.

This property started life as a scruffy building tucked away at the end of a street but it was always an urban space with potential. The project included complete refurbishment and the addition of a basement, creating an open plan space on the ground floor leading to two garden terraces. New stairs were added to a corner of the property leading down to a TV room, guest bedroom and utility in the basement and up to a master bedroom and bathroom and guest cloakroom. The result is a practical, comfortable and light filled home.

The task here was to refurbish and redecorate a room in a London Landmark building from an office to a room to display a wonderful collection of paintings, some of which were languishing in storage. Though the room is a beautiful display box, a frame for the national treasures within, the main function of the room though was as a boardroom and private dining room. The room had very classical proportions which were easy to deal with and two large windows acted as constant reminder of the cultural heritage of the surroundings. However with the use of a charcoal grey linen on the walls a more modern look was created than elsewhere in the building.
